Way to Milford Sound
The way to Milford Sound is simply fantastic. You will have this awesome view in one of the stops you will certainly make along the way...

Whangarei Falls
In New Zealand we have 2 official languages: Maori and English. The Falls you see here has a Maori name and if you want to say it right you should pronounce the 'Wh' at the begining of the name as a 'F'. Therefore we have 'Fangarei'.
About the falls now....
It's located about 2 hours driving from Auckland on your way up North. Once you are in Whangarei downtown it will take only 10 minutes to get there.

Cathedral Cove
If you ever come to the North Island of New Zealand try to make some time to visit the Coromandel Peninsula. Once you are there it's a must to pay a visit to the fantastic Cathedral Cove. You would have to leave your car at the top of the mountain and then go for a 45-minute walk down hill. It's quite easy and well marked. That's the view you are going to get once you finish your walk. It's worth it, isn't it?!

Niteroi
What is it? A flying sauce? :-) Nope! It's a museum called MAC (Museo de Arte Contemporanea). It's really worth visiting it. The view from inside is magic, not to mention the art work we can see in there! It's located in Niteroi - 14kms from Rio de Janeiro.

Geriba
I spent a couple of months in Brazil this last winter (winter in Brazil!?) and it was awesome!
It's not cold at all and you are still able to go to the beaches for a swim. Water temperature is not that warm but still quite nice. This beach is called Geriba and it's my favorite one in Buzios, Rio de Janeiro.

Having a siesta...
That was about 1.00pm and I couldn't resist to catch this pigeon having a nice siesta! This picture was taken in Kaikoura, South Island of New Zealand.

Not nice...
I had no idea but the police officer responsible for the case has said that it's quite common for European tourists to pretend that they were victims of assault or robbery while staying in Rio.
He also said that the numbers are quite high due to this fact.
I can't deny how violent and dangerous Rio de Janeiro can be, but at the same time it would be better to have the real numbers so we could check all the statistics to make sure all the law enforcement teams are doing (or not) a good job.
That's quite hard when, in this case, 2 British girls do exactly what I've just said above.
They were trying to get some money from their travel insurance.
Here is the link, but in Portuguese, sorry!

Geothermal activity
Talking about Rotorua (as I did at the Zorb photo) I can tell that the main attraction is the geothermal activity right in the heart of the city. That's what Rotorua is famous for! You can see it pretty much anywhere in town. This picture gives you an idea of what I'm talking about

Zorb!
That's something not many people know about. It's called Zorb! You go in this huge plastic ball then you roll down hill! It's great fun and I do recommend it! Where to do it? Well..you would have to go to Rotorua, which is located 240 kms from Auckland, North Island of New Zealand.

Parque da Cidade
One of the most beautiful places in Niteroi (one of the main cyties in Rio) is the 'Parque da Cidade', or 'City's Park' if we translate it. Going up there to catch the sun set is something amazing...
I was up there with my best friend Pericles. He is the one who is pushing me hard to learn how to take better photos! He gives lot's of tips regarding positioning, framing, etc...Thanks Pericles!
